Capital LTE: “Providence Point must have adequate conservation easement”

Capital Gazette: Letters to the Editor, June 7, 2020

Agreed that National Lutheran has done much to modify its proposal for Providence Point at Crystal Springs farm to comply with local requirements (The Capital, May 7).

Since so much has been done to address the community’s concerns to preserve one of the last standing undisturbed woodlands on the South River, it would be unwise to undo prudent preservation by allowing backsliding into more development after only 20 years.

Without the conservation easement, so much work will have been done for nothing. This project can move forward but not without the conservation easement.
